Kai Tak estate identification and move-in coordination
Even if both say "Kai Tak", the actual address, building and moving entrance may differ. Identifying the housing estate first, then arranging the key collection, move-out and move-in times, is more helpful than giving only the district name.
TAK LONG ESTATE
承啟道28號
The English name is Tak Long Estate. It is public rental housing, and Housing Authority records list 9 residential blocks. When enquiring, please use the actual block name rather than only the estate’s main address; if you are moving only part of the furniture, also state from which block to which flat.

Kai Ching Estate
沐虹街12號
The English name is Kai Ching Estate, and Housing Authority records list 6 residential blocks: Hong Ching House, Lok Ching House, Yan Ching House, Sheung Ching House, Moon Ching House and Yuet Ching House. When enquiring, please state the block and floor; do not use the Tak Long Estate address, and do not assume the two estates use the same moving entrance or management arrangements.
Different handover dates
Decide first which items need storage
If the old place must be handed back first but the new place is not yet available for move-in, please divide the items into three categories: keep with you, move in directly, and place into storage. Provide the expected storage period, number of boxes and large furniture items, then confirm the arrangements and fees for collection, storage and later redelivery.

Keys collected, moving in
Measure the new home first, then decide which furniture to keep
Before deciding to move an old sofa, bed frame or wardrobe, first measure the space in the new home, the unit entrance and the moving route; being able to fit the item in the room does not mean it can necessarily pass through the doorway and corners. Photograph the parts that need dismantling and the connection points to help confirm whether it can be taken apart and reassembled.

Move within the same district
Do not just say “Kai Tak to Kai Tak”
Even if moving from one block to another in the same estate, we still need to check the floor level, lift and ground-route conditions on both sides separately. Please enter both addresses in separate fields and state whether it is a full flat move or only selected items. Whether a vehicle is needed and the available time slot will then be confirmed according to the on-site conditions.
Moving arrangements for Kai Tak
Besides the estate name, the block number and entrance are equally important
For Kai Tak residential enquiries, please state the estate/block number and the actual entrance. Taking Tak Long Estate as an example, the address is 28 Shing Kai Road, but for moving arrangements you still need to provide the floor number and lobby details of the unit.
First confirm whether the furniture can be brought in along the original route
For sofas, bed frames and tall cabinets, measure not only the overall size but also the doorways, corridor corners and the space available for the lift. For items that need dismantling, photos can be provided first.
Completion, move-out and move-in dates must match
If collection and delivery times are different on each side, please state the available move-out and move-in dates, then ask about moving and storage. Do not just reserve one day without confirming whether lifts can be used at both properties.
Before you enquire
State the estate, block and flat number clearly
Provide the moving-out and moving-in addresses; do not write only “Kai Tak”, to avoid the actual entrance not being identifiable.
Provide item photos and dimensions
Photograph large furniture, glass items and fragile appliances separately, and note the parts that need to be kept or dismantled.
Ask the management office about moving arrangements
Confirm the available moving date, lift use and vehicle parking requirements, then pass the confirmed details to customer service.
State whether linking services are required
If you need packing into boxes, box materials, furniture dismantling or moving storage, these can be listed in the same enquiry.
Frequently asked questions about Kai Tak
If I only provide the estate name for a Kai Tak removal, is that enough for a quotation?
The estate name is only for initial identification. More complete quotation details include both addresses, block number, floor, lift access, distance to the vehicle stopping point, item list and any required extra services.
Do all Kai Tak estates have the same moving times and deposit arrangements?
It cannot be generalised. Moving time, registration, deposit and lift rules should be confirmed with the relevant property management office; this page does not set fixed requirements for estates that have not been verified.
Can a Kai Tak move with packing, dismantling and assembly be arranged?
You can state, when enquiring, which items need packing and which beds, wardrobes and other furniture need dismantling and reassembly. The actual scope and fees depend on the item structure, quantity and on-site information.
The moving-in date is not fixed yet. Can I enquire about storage first?
Yes. Please provide the planned moving-out date, number of items, expected storage period and the future moving-in location so we can confirm the moving, storage and return arrangements separately.
Are Tak Long Estate and Kai Cheung Estate the same address?
No. The address of Tak Long Estate is 28 Shing Kai Road; the address of Kai Ching Estate is 12 Muk Hung Street. Both are in the Kai Tak area of Kowloon City District. Please enquire using the actual estate name, building name, floor and flat details, not just “Kai Tak”.
If moving within the same Kai Tak estate, does vehicle arrangement not need to be made?
You cannot judge it just because it is the same estate. First check the available moving route between the two blocks, entrances and exits, distance, lifts and management requirements, then decide on manpower, equipment and whether a vehicle is needed.
